Food
How could one talk about culture and interculture without noticing what's at our dining table and how we behave at it? As a child, I constantly heard my mom commenting on food ingredients, cooking and eating, and she would also go extra lengths about taste and flavour using lively metaphors and parallels, sometimes hilarious. When I had the chance to work for a food company years later, I suddenly had this big revelation how grateful I should be to her for cultivating this foodie side of me. So this section is to my mom, an ordinary Chinese woman who had a taste in food and had the ability to make and adventure great home-cooked food of her time.
